I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience in a variety of settings. I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Gordon F. Derner Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies, in Long Island, New York. During this process I gained experience with patients incarcerated at New York City's Riker's Island Jail Complex and other settings, giving me experience with a wide range of patients from diverse backgrounds. To the current time, I continued to work with legally involved populations, providing relevant psychological services.
My focus is to maintain an unbiased perspective on the issues my patients present with, in order to determine how best to address the problems disrupting their lives.
My years of experience with groups, individual clients, and evaluations, has prepared me to provide quality services using my knowledge and experience to provide clients (whether individuals, firms, or institutions) with high quality therapy and evaluations that are geared to meet their needs.
In addition, I have several years experience in providing high quality reports and testimony to several Courts on various issues relevant to psychology.
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in New Jersey and New York, and have over 15 years of
experience in the mental health field. I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Albizu
University, which included an APA accredited internship with Rutgers University Behavioral
Health Care specializing in adolescent and adult forensic populations.
Since then, I have worked with clients in various settings (e.g., crisis emergency rooms, prisons,
private practice), in addressing interpersonal and relationship difficulties, mood disorders,
substance use disorders, and problematic sexual behaviors. In addition, I have worked closely
with attorneys and the court system, providing consultation, mandated therapy, and violent and
sex offender risk assessments.
In recent years I have provided over 50 hours of testimony in a variety of Courts testifying with regard to risk and psychological functioning.
